Services

Transport that fits the temperament of your pet.

Three ways we travel. Every option is private — your pet shares the vehicle only with their own family and their driver. No shared crates, no shared cabins, no detours.

VIP Solo Ride

One pet. One driver. One destination. Ideal for travelers who want undivided attention, flexible stops, and a route designed around your pet's comfort.

  • Private vehicle, just your pet
  • Hourly comfort checks & photo updates
  • Climate-controlled cabin throughout
Most Requested

Same-Family Ride

Multiple pets from the same household traveling together. Familiar smells, familiar faces, less stress. Perfect for moves, vet visits, and reunions.

  • Up to four same-household pets
  • Custom crating or harnessed seating
  • Coordinated pickup & drop-off windows

Behavior-Aware Ride

For pets who need a softer hand — anxiety, reactivity, motion sickness, or a history of difficult transport. We plan the ride around your pet, not the other way around.

  • Pre-ride consultation & behavior brief
  • Desensitization & positive reinforcement
  • Quiet routes, slow loading, real breaks

Our Approach

A quieter way to move your pet.

Most pet transport is built for efficiency. Ours is built for the animal in the back seat. That means smaller routes, slower loading, real breaks, and a driver who knows the difference between a pant and a panic.

We treat behavior as information, not inconvenience. If your dog hates the crate, we ask why before we ask you to use one. If your cat freezes at thresholds, we plan two extra minutes at the door. The work is in the details — and the details are why pets settle in with us.

Talk to Us
  • 01 — Listen first

Every booking begins with a real conversation about your pet's history, triggers, and routines.

  • 02 — Plan the ride

Routes are mapped for low stimulation: quiet roads, predictable stops, and the right kind of breaks.

  • 03 — Stay in touch

You receive check-ins along the way — short messages and photos that tell you exactly how things are going.

  • 04 — Hand off well

We don't just drop off. We make sure your pet has settled, water is down, and your questions are answered.

About Kane's

Built by someone who has driven the long way home with a scared dog.

Kane's Pet Transport began as the kind of favor everyone asks of the dog person in their life — long drives for friends' rescues, vet runs for neighbors, the occasional rehoming across state lines. Word spread. The favors became routes. The routes became a service.

Today we move pets across the region and across the country, but the standard hasn't moved an inch: clean vehicle, patient driver, no shortcuts, and a phone that picks up when you call.

From Our Clients

Words from the people we drive for.

"Our golden was rescued from a hoarding case and is terrified of vehicles. Kane took ninety minutes just to load her, on the clock, without a word of complaint. She slept the whole ride. We will never use anyone else."
— Maren H., Asheville, NC
"Two cats, one nervous senior dog, and a 900-mile move. We got photos at every stop and the dog walked into the new house like he'd lived there for years. Worth every penny."
— Jonah R., relocating client
"I'm a vet tech and I refer all my long-haul cases here. They communicate like professionals, they handle pets like trainers, and they show up on time."
— Dr. Lila P., DVM partner

FAQ

Questions, answered.

If you don't see your question here, reach out — we answer every inquiry within one business day.

What's the service area?

We handle local routes throughout the region and long-distance transport across the continental U.S. Quotes are tailored to the trip.

How are pets restrained during the ride?

We use airline-style crates for dogs and cats by default, and offer harness-and-seatbelt setups for dogs who travel better tethered. Restraint choices are decided together during booking.

Do you transport pets with medical needs?

Yes. We coordinate with your veterinarian, carry medications on schedule, and can break up trips for senior pets, post-op pets, or pets on IV fluids when needed.

Are you insured?

Yes — we're fully insured as a commercial pet transporter. Documentation is provided on request and shared in advance of any booking.

How do you handle anxious or reactive pets?

We schedule a pre-ride consultation, build a behavior plan with you, and price in the extra time it takes to do the job right. We don't sedate without veterinary direction.

What does it cost?

Pricing is based on distance, number of pets, behavioral needs, and timing. Most requests get an itemized quote within 24 hours.
